Project Management

master level studies

Major description

What is common for the construction of the world’s tallest building and a home renovation? What can be found during both the Glastonbury festival and your summer holidays? What are the similarities between launching a start-up and creating a video game? The answer Is simple: all these examples are realizations of a certain process or, in other words, implementations of an idea into reality.

The majority of our actions and visions – both in business and in our private lives – are being converted into projects (whether we realize it or not). Many would say that projects are the essence of business, regardless of the branch, size or legal form of the company. We launch projects to start something new, to modify some solution or even to finish something. Skilful project management is not only a business goal in itself – it is also a great source of satisfaction and a fantastic way for personal growth.

Our Project Management programme will provide you with the necessary know-how: you will learn how to successfully navigate the process from planning through realization to full implementation. By attending the programme you will gain the knowledge of how to change a vision into a measurable success.

During your studies you will meet numerous business practitioners with significant experience within project management in various branches and in different international standards. Our lecturers are passionate about project management and will be more than delighted to share their knowledge and experience with you.

As a student of Project Management you will learn how to:

  • Define the goal, scope and business justification of the project (in other words: pitch your idea)
  • Develop the realization plan and the budget in order to successfully manage the given project
  • Define the tasks and divide the workload between members of the project team
  • Choose the most suitable project implementation method
  • Overcome the barriers and difficulties at various stages of the process
  • Monitor the work progress and motivate the team members in order to achieve the set goal

Examples of courses:

  • Strategic project management
  • Communication and teamwork
  • Methods of project management
  • Project budgeting
  • Risk management in a process
